Digital Ethics Code

The principles and values that guide our work

DisAbility Hub recognizes the responsibility of "online professions" towards people and groups in the global community: young people, adults and seniors with disabilities, families and caregivers.

We believe that high ethical standards should be encouraged and promoted in digital professions, fostering proper "digital transformation" in daily life.

The professionals collaborating on the www.disabilityhub.it project therefore adopt the following "Ethics Code" as constant guidance and inspiration, based on the fundamental principles of maximum possible truth, justice, fairness and correctness.

Fundamental Principles

Show confidence in the dignity of our profession through professionalism, honesty and courtesy, in order to deserve a reputation for high quality services and correct conduct.

Increase knowledge useful to our profession through constant study and sharing the results of our experiences with other members.

Build relationships of growing trust, loyalty and goodwill with the public and our employers through composure, self-control and constructive collaboration.

Adopt, as much as possible, a professional and correct attitude when soliciting professional services or seeking employment, thus earning trust in our knowledge and integrity.

Fully accept our share of responsibility in the service that is constructively rendered to the community, state or nation, and to the entire global community.

Protect the intellectual property of others by appealing to our own capacity for innovation, thus ensuring that all benefits are conferred to its creator.

Strive to achieve and express that sincerity that can enrich our human relationships, always aiming toward the ideal of constructive relationships.

Continuous Education

Undertake and continue a path of continuous training:
study is the essential foundation of every small (big) step.

Therefore

It is good and right to:

Share knowledge online and build collaborations and relationships.

Put others at the center (users, clients, collaborators) and provide them with the most useful information, news and tools. Stand by their side even, at times, against our own interests.

Every problem is solvable: just talk about it and have the will to solve it by looking at the relationship as the primary asset.

It takes irony and self-irony, in life and at work.

Commitments must be respected and I will work even on Saturdays, Sundays and at night if necessary.

Remember to reward those who have published or reported an important resource.

Money is not the first thought (but not the last either!).

Take moments of relaxation and leisure: psycho/physical well-being is truly the most precious asset to preserve.
